FM AR-1

Digital FM Radio designed using Arduino

FM AR-1

FM AR-1 is an Arduino based FM Radio designed and produced in a three week period. It was my first time learning the skills involved— electrical engineering, programming, 3d printing, CNC Milling aluminum, and designing a 3d object for prototyping. I used an Arduino UNO to control a digital FM Radio chip, taking analog input from a slide potentiometer and converting it into a digital signal that would tune the radio and display the station on a 7 segment display. The volume is controlled by a second slide potentiometer, and the pair of 3" woofers are powered by a re-purposed car stereo amplifier which gets loud enough to fill a room. It also features an 1/8" auxiliary audio input and power switch on the back.
